Dopeland is not your typical party. This event had a Skate ramp on the roof that skaters ripped all afternoon while spectators enjoyed free food from the Hood Chef and free beer courtesy of Pabst Blue Ribbon. The night portion event featured a Silent Movie Theater with Captain Crunch Popcorn, giant swings & slides, open bar, and live performances by A$AP Ferg and friends.

jam master jay tribute
To commemorate what would be the 52nd birthday of late groundbreaking DJ / producer, Jam Master Jay of legendary hip-hop trio Run DMC, his son TJ Mizell has teamed up with turntable artisan Skratch Bastid for a tribute to the legacy of JMJ. The three minute session features both turntablists laying it down on the 1s and 2s in an epic side by side performance. Mixing and sampling classic Run DMC tracks, the celebration of JMJ induces a fond nostalgia for the hay days of the trailblazing hip-hop pioneer.
The tribute is brought you by Doperoots, a multi-facted music label founded by Jam Master Jay's sons TJ and Jesse Mizell. Check out the video below and keep it locked for additional Doperoots content in 2017. RIP JMJ

"THAT'S DOPE" OFFICIAL RECAP
Friday, October the 28th marked the first of many events produced by Doperoots, a DJ focused music label based out of NYC. The event, "That's Dope," took place at a private loft space in Soho where 200 guests enjoyed an intimate setting with top shelf open bar and a night packed with premium DJ talent and surprise guest performances.
TJ Mizell - "Trill Train"
From the Doperoots 9F headquarters, friends and fans rolled alongside TJ to the L train for an exclusive impromptu performance from Manhattan to Brooklyn that even made the New York Snapchat Story. His music consisted of tracks such as "New Level" and "Work Remix" by ASAP Ferg, "Work" by Electric Bodega, and "Cut It" by O.T. Genasis.
